The stadium was opened on 30 November 2021 for the FIFA Arab Cup after 7 years of construction. It will host 9 matches in the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup. These include three knock out matches. Lusail Stadium
The Lusail Stadium in Doha will be the center of attraction for the FIFA 2022 Qatar World Cup as this will be the biggest stadium in the World Cup.
